Continuing its foray into the world of interior design, Yves Salomon now launches Yves Salomon Editions, an ambitious project under the creative direction of Marcellin Boyer. This adventure comes as a natural next step for Yves Salomon as well as the brand’s Artistic Director Tamara Taichman, both of them being art connoisseurs and passionate design collectors.
After an initial collaboration with Pierre Chapo Créations on a series of furniture and lampshade designs in 2024 - presented at the Dimorestudio’s Gallery during Milan’s Salone del Mobile, followed by stints at Paris Design Week and the Magen H gallery in New York - the Maison will each year invite designers to conceive original furniture pieces and objects.
These creations will result from an ongoing conversation between each designer and Yves Salomon’s ateliers, with their unique artisanal know-how. They will be crafted from the luxury materials dear to the Maison, from leather to shearling, upcycled fur…
The pieces mark the logical continuation of Yves Salomon’s brand history, echoing its launch during the 1980s, powered by recurrent close collaborations with some of the world’s most famed fashion designers and pushing, season after season, the boundaries of innovation, research and creativity.
For its 2025 season debut, Yves Salomon collaborates with the French decorator Pierre Marie, whose universe is distinguished by a profusion of rich and colorful motifs, conceived in perfect harmony with the craftsmanship they evoke.
He has designed a collection of shearling intarsia objects. This ensemble will be unveiled in Milan during the 2025 edition of the Salone del Mobile.
Yves Salomon Editions also joins forces with the renowned Milanese design duo, Dimorestudio. The inaugural chapter of this long-term partnership will unfold at the Salone del Mobile in Milan.
For the occasion, Yves Salomon and Dimorestudio have shared their common fascination for the Italian artist, designer and manufacturer Carlo Bugatti, whose Art Nouveau creations marked the early XXth century.
They will therefore unveil a collection inspired by some of the most striking original pieces by Carlo Bugatti. This ensemble serves as a prelude to a more extensive collection, set to be revealed in Paris next October during Art Basel.
With this new design venture, Maison Yves Salomon opens up a brand new chapter.
